Holy Kee-Rapp, what a forum!!!
How the heck have I never found this forum till now???
SOOOOOOOO much to delve in to!
I'm a Scot, living on Mallorca, Spain. (For US Jaggers, about the size of Hawaii in the Mediterranean).
1998 XJR V8 Soopercharged. A bit silly, as if I hit the loud pedal, I'm off the other side of the island and into the ocean beyond.
Then again, we took the Jag to Italy last year and checked out the speed limiter on the open road - stopped me from accelerating any more at 240kph, so that was good.
Altho' the fuel gauge went down at the same speed as the speedo went up, I noticed.
Currently considering whether to keep it as a toy or move it on and find a Mk2 to restore and have fun with. Might have to keep it since I doubt I'd get enough for it to buy a pair of flip-flops these days.
Long history of Jags, 1966 3.4 S-Type around 1972, another 3.8 S-Type about 73, and a 1966 E-Type 4.2 about 1974. (Just turned 60 so the memory is fading along with the sex).
Finding all the electronic crap involved with modern Jags a pain in the rear. Hence the yearning for a Mk 2 where the closest to electronics will be a set of points. (Or not).
Anyway, off for a delve.
Great work, you admin guys.
Norm MacLeod.

Hi Norm,
Great intro! Welcome to the forum. It will be good to have a guy like you around, with all your Jag experience. Best of luck making the decision on the Mk2.
cheers!

Hello & welcome . Way back in the 60's I used to be a young Jag salesman & Mk2 's , E's , S's &Mk10's were Jags catalogue . I think you'll need deep pockets & a good socket set to run a Mk2 as a daily driver these days . I would imagine where you live , sea spray is more a problem than Winter road salt .
