Default How to get a title for export in NYS for a pre 1973 car?

Hi All,

I have had a 69 xke for a few years. I bought it in NYS and registered it in NYS back in 2012. I now need to ship it to Europe. However the car does not have a title for being older than 1973 and I can't find the paper delivered by the NYS DMV I thought I had that says that.

Has anyone exported a NYS vehicle without title? What document should I use with customs?

Thanks!
Lionel

Welcome to the forum Lionel,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

We've had a few members ship their vehicles from the US to Europe. One would expect that all counties in the European Union would handle vehicle import in the same way but experiences appear to vary considerably. The common factors is proof of ownership, registration and type approval have been required. You should ask this question in Europe Region forum and state the destination country.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/e-type-xk-e-59/ to the E-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/europe-42/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thanks All!

I've got some reading to do...

One day I'll share my true barn find story on the 69 xke. A one in a lifetime experience.

Cheers
