Default I love my Jag

Hello,
Thank you for excepting me into your forum.

I purchased my 1987 Jaguar XJ6 last April, interior is a little ruff, body is excellent, new tires, great dash board, comfort beyond belief. At first it ran fantastic, still does, when I get it running again. I am sure the issue is not a big issue, finding the issue is the problem.

I have always wanted a classic Jaguar, I now have one, I do not want this issue to turn me off of Jaguars. This Jaguar is so tight, all doors open and close great, all windows work fantastic, even the wood grain is in excellent shape. Gun metal blue in color this Jaguar stand out. I am looking forward to being seen driving it through our town of Ojai Ca.

Welcome to the forum Bones,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Default 1987 XJ6, almost starts, but doesn't.

I now have my jaguar ready to start, it turns over great, it even slightly starts, runs and chugs a little, but it seams when I release the ignition key, it dies.
