Default I need some info

Hello. I own a '92 Jaguar Vanden Plas Majestic. I need to sell her though. But I dont just want to sell her to anyone. She's my baby and it took me. While to decide to let her go. Any ideas on how to start this whole process in finding a collector or someone who loves jags?

Welcome to the forum eandrade,

Sorry to hear you need to sell your VDP.

A good place to start for information on selling in CA is to follow this link Western US - AK CA NV OR UT HI WA ID - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the Western US Region section for members and events in your region.

We also have a Private For sale / Trade Classifieds section in the forum.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Welcome to the forum.

An XJ40 Majestic? That's a rare one...

In 1989 and 1990 Jaguar Cars produced a special edition of the XJ40 using the Majestic name, at first in the US only, leather-equipped with steering wheel in interior colour and often red or blue piping. In the final XJ40 years the name Majestic was used for the special build LWB XJ40, of which only 121 examples were constructed.
In 1992 Jaguar Cars produced a special model of the XJ40 called the Majestic. These were stretched versions of the Sovereign and were available to special order only, they could be ordered in either Jaguar or Daimler variants with 3.2, 4.0 or 6.0 V12 engines. They were built by Jaguars Special Vehicle Operations Department and interiors could be chosen using Jaguars new bespoke Insignia service. The Majestic proved too expensive to manufacture and production was short lived with only around 50 being built.
There was an article in the September edition of Jaguar World Monthly about the XJ40 Insignia, I think these cars might be one and the same? Or at least on the same level.

VDP in North America = Daimler in the rest of the world, plus this Majestic/Insignia limited built, full spec, so it would have been the flashest, most expensive XJ40 available...

I can only suggest try advertising the specialist collectors magazines, and Jaguar forums...
