Default I'm here

I'm Chris, I'm a auto tech from Redmond, WA, I'm signing up here in advance of helping a friend restore his '86 XJ6 thats been sitting around my driveway off for 2+ years.

I needs interior work (mold) and a engine rebuild. I'll leave the smelly interior to him....

I found this forum searching for Ford WDS info on google, so I'm also looking forward to a WDS guru being around...

Welcome,
I’d much rather deal with the greasy old lump under the hood than the nasty, smelly interior as well. Mold…yuck! I guess it does rain a lot in WA, huh?
Good Luck!

Robert

Welcome to the forum,

I think there is a lengthy thread running on WDS, you'll find the gurus there.

Welcome to the forum, best of luck with the engine, failing that, get your friend to start making cheese in the interior. You never know, he might hit on the next biggest thing and buy you a new XKR.

Original engine tossed a rod. He got the car from his dad, who gave him another motor, that needed a head rebuild.

I've got the pistons/rods/rings all hung and waiting at the machine shop, the block and head have been cleaned/bored and the crank turned. He needs to find rod/main bearings and put it all back together....
