Cool Intro

Hi, I am anew member and have a 2002 Jaguar 4ltr S type Sport with 127Km. My wife has a 2004 2ltr X Type.

The 4Ltr S type has a shuddering fault after driving of a while mostly when accelerating up a hill. The plugs and coils have been changed and the torque converter has been removed and serviced. The car runs smooth and has great acceleration but when the speed seems to be over 80Kmh it starts to shudder. The mechanic said he does not know what else to look for. I would be grateful for anyones replies on this issue

Welcome.

A quickie repost in the S Type section will get more answers.

One of my V6's did that at first and trans fluid too low was the culprit.

Welcome to the forum Collin,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum with the shuddering issue so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
