Intro - Xk8
Pleased to introduce myself.
Bought my mid life crisis in 2018 as a 'future classic' investment (or so that is what I told my better half) and despite endless glitches and a more maint costs than purchase costs I have never looked back.
The growling beast is a UK Spec 1997 XK8 convertable in dark blue (dappled paint laquer flaking) and cream interior.
Used weekly as a popping to the shops whenever it is dry and enjoy the rumble runabout.
Location = UK, Portsmouth

Welcome to the forums StumpyStu,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Hello, Stu,
It seldom works to buy an old car as "investment", does it. As a way to keep one entertained though, it's Perfect.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
