Greetings to fellow Jag enthusiasts/sufferers. My name is Paul, I'm an Aussie living on the Surf Coast in Victoria. My first jag was a Mark II circa mid 60's, and I now have an X-Type, 3.0L Sport Auto. I bought the X-Type new in 2002 and plan to keep it until one of us dies. I started out to buy a second hand S-type but saw the X-Type AWD and fell for it big time. After 12 years and 260,000 Km she is starting to show her age. I have been reading this forum, out of interest, for a very long time but have never posted as I've not had anything of interest to add or questions to ask. Now that my girl is getting on a bit I do need some assistance. I will post some questions and share some recent experiences with IDS/SDD I have had recently and hopefully kelp some others to avoid the pits I fell into.

Follow Norri's link in post #3 to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
