Hi my name is Sifiso Radebe from Savannah Park Pinetown KwaZulu Natal South Africa.
Have a problems with my jag. s type 3.0 v6 also my friends x type.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

hi guys should water become contact with engine control module (ECM) what will be the fault and remedy

Ouch!

The worst case scenario is the module will short circuit and burn out. If it's only splashed with water then don't even turn on the ignition before removing the cover and drying it thoroughly. Up in the Northern Hemisphere we have to do this with a hair drier but I imagine it could be warm enough in Durban not to need artificial heat.
