Introductions
Giday from longreach Australia.
Sorry folk I posted without introductions. I am a aircraft engineer and yesterday purchased 1981 XJ6 series3. Loved them since school and just thought I would inspect one out of interest. As the seller informed me " its quicker to be forgiven than get permission from the wife so I bought it" drove it 1200 km home without a hitch. Was looking for a rebuild job but for the price I paid for a good one I can afford a rebuild as well. Love the information I am getting from this site

I can see you have found your way to the XJ6 Series III tech section so there's no need for a link. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
