Hi, I'm new to this forum, buy thought I'd share my current project. Currently in the middle of converting my 98 V8 XJR into manual. Sourced a S type 2.7d v6 box, few modifications needed from what I can see. Buy trial fitted it along with propshaft. All bolts up beautifully. Currently having a flywheel adapted to use on original auto flywheel as these have a crankshaft pick up. I'm all good when figuring out mechanicals mostly. But wondering if anyone can help point me in the correct direction of getting the autobox deleted from the ecu and probably the immobiliser that is linked with it? Manual box trial fitted Propshaft trial fitted and aligns beautifully Manual vs autobox Autobox flywheel
No idea on that with this later stuff. Back in older days, Manual in a V12 XJS, required tricking the ECU, but I think?? that guy is not doing that anymore.
