Default Jaguar XF 2013 - startup high Rev

Does anyone know what the potential problem could be? Attached video at startup.
CEL on after this happens. Clears itself after a few days! Then starts all over again. Headed into service next week but wondering what ya guys think in the meantime.

Welcome to the Forums.

The members in the XF (X250) Tech Section will know.

A quick repost in there should sort it.

Good luck.

Default Try the MAFS first.

Almost every Rev issue I’ve encountered has originated from a faulty or dirty Air Mass Sensor. It’s the cheapest place to start and can be cleaned or replaced without a garage relatively cheaply. Cleaning the sensor (properly) does no harm and, in most cases improves performance.

Welcome to the forums Britni,

We can have a guessfest or you could read the codes and see which are triggering the MIL.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xf-xfr-x250-44/ to the X250 forum for help, advice and information.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.
