Default A jaguar XJ6 series 1 from 1969

Hello Jaguar enthausiast,

I am Tom and i com from the Netherlands.
Since March 2015 i am the proud owner of a jaguar xj series 1.
The jaguar was born in 1969 with a 2.8 litre 6 cilinder.
In the year 2000 the engine broke and was replaced with a 4.2 6 inline,
with the HIF7 carbs.
The jaguar is original delivered to the Netherlands in the color british racing green.
Its not in a perfect condition, but its a good driver.
Hot topics on this moment are:
- The paint needs a good polish.
- The carpets needs replacement.
- The battery tray and situation needs a new paint.
- New U-joints on the half shafts.
- The valves need adjustment.
- The leather needs good cleaning and conditioning.

I hope to learn from this forum,
so i can do the most myself.

See you on the forum.
Greetings,
Tom

Welcome to the forum Tom,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 Series I, II & III forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link Europe - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
