Default Joining Jaguar Heaven... or Hell?

Born and Raised in Virginia, USA. I've been reading for a while. I've Been a British car owner since the 1970's. I've owned a gaggle of Triumph Spit's, a GT6, even a MGB and still currently own a 1971 TR6. Also have a 2003 Black on Black w/Sable interior XK8 among a fleet of cars in my house hold. I'm really cheating by plucking all of your knowledge from your brains! I still see a lot of the early Jaguar/British Leyland Engineering in my 2003. You have to either love or hate these cars. I guess to some degree it's like an addiction.

I'm in the process (on weekends. I don't know who said working for a living builds character) of rebuilding the front suspension on my car. Only 80k miles but the previous owner had installed 20" super low profile series tires and wheels. They were hard as a rock... and I think caused some premature wear on the suspension. I'm finding out through your kind and detailed post some quirky stuff about these cars. I look forward to reading more.

You're Absolutely right!! There is NO middle ground! We either love or hate our cars, sometimes both within a matter of minutes. But she's still my favorite car to drive (when she's behaving herself) and my most important fashion accessory at the moment.

As for our addiction, see my tag line.

Welcome to the forum jagrider58,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Mid Atlantic Region forum by following this link US Mid Atlantic - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
