Good Day -
I just bought my first Jaguar & I am pretty excited. I have a 96' Jaguar XJ6 British racing green w/ tan leather interior. It's a beautiful car. I am really excited about this car because it does need minor work. I got the car with 126k on it - less than 10k a year put on this car & I have all the service records, books and stuff.
I am looking to meet other Jaguar owners, and learn a little about this car as I am still new to everything about this car from the straight 6 engine to all the little gadgets on it. . . . When I bought the car it had a few lights on, on the dash. Check engine which I found out the car needs a tune up, and if anyone knows where I can get coil packs for this car cheap I would be forever grateful!
The other 3 lights were the *Track fail, Track Off & ABS light* Now, from what I have been reading online I am finding there may be some correlation between the three lights being on at the same time? The breaks seem fine. It stops fine and everything, if any problem at all I may need to change the pads in the next 3/5 months at most. Other than that it's fine. . . I did notice last night while leaving the parking lot of the gym the car made a clunk kind of noise from the back end? I don't know if this is the ABS acting up or not? I did read someone said that the ABS / Traction lines could be corroded causing the lights to come on and possible ABS / Traction to act up on the car? THOUGHTS?
Other than that I do have some pictures to post & I am really excited about finally owning one of these beautiful cars!
