I own a 2004 XJR with 88,000 miles, which has been a joy to own and drive. I own a 2007 XK Convertible that looks fantastic but has been beyond frustrating to own. The 2007 XK harbors a haunted electrical system. The car has been garaged and has only 26,000 miles...I can't keep it running long enough to put more miles on it. There is a design flaw with the A/C condensate line, so that when I do get it to run for a while, if I turn on the A/C, the passenger side floor fills with water and the blower fan shorts out. The dealer has said there is no permanent solution. The last fix lasted for less than 1,000 miles and the recurring leak ruined a very expensive purse left on the floor.
The cars are in Southern California and have been well maintained.
