Lonely in SE Michigan
Home = Farmington Hills MI
Primary traveling territory: NW suburbs of Detroit (Ftn, Bham, Bloomfields, ...)
Year around car: 2008 XJR, Ebony with Champagne/Charcoal interior.
Options: 19" painted alloy wheels which match better to gill covers than the standard chrome wheels do IMHO.
Summer, leisure car: 1982 Toyota Supra. Red and Black looking almost like new. It spends the salt season in the garage. 130,000 miles. All is well except the air conditioner and I am not going to pay $1,200 for yet another half-assed remanufactured compressor with a 1-2 year life span.
The only 2008 or 2009 XJs I see in my travels are 1) a black 2008 VDP which seems to go where I go from time to time. And 2) another black but I don't know the model having only a few partial sightings in North Farmington Hills.
An A for driving, a D- for ergonomics.

You can't be Jaguar lonely in that area, must be another kind of lonely.
Up until Ford sold Jaguar to Tata SE MI was probably the Jaguar capitol of the world from about '99 on.
If it is Jaguar lonely you have 3 dealers within 20 miles or so of you. The closest to you has monthly Jaguar club meetings held in their dealership. They give discounts to club members.
Enjoy your Jag, there's nothing else on the road that performs quite like it.
I almost forgot the most important part. Make sure you bring your Toyota to that local dealership when the weather breaks. One of the top techs there has an S-10 chevy truck with a Grand National turbo motor that runs low 10s. You 2 will be buddies for sure.

translator: see my posts in "What DON'T you like about your XJ" in the XJ sub-forum.
Clarification:
I am "lonely" when looking for other 2008 or 2009 XJs. During a short drive last Sunday I saw at least a dozen Jags not including the five-year old XK at the next door to the South or the beautiful XJS coupe across the street.
