Smile Long time reader. first time poster

Good evening! Just joined after several years of reading. With a little searching, there's rarely a time I felt the need to post a question - and I've had an excellent experience with my one and only cat for almost 10 years now - so not a lot to offer in the way of help.

Anyhow...

Hailing from the Baltimore, Maryland USA region. Purchased my first Jaguar in 2010, a brand-new 2009 Emerald Fire green XF Luxury, 4.2L V8. She was a showroom peach sitting indoors for almost a year, so I got her with 17 total miles. Good memories. Now almost 10 years later she's done really, really well for me. Other than the warranty-covered gearbox issue early on, I've had almost no issues at all (other than one or two self-induced kinds), and still to this day get regular comments on the wonderful green color, even though almost 10 years and over 100k miles has given her a few door-dings and her fair share of road rash.

(PS- I do correct people when they think the Emerald Fire green is BRG)

Ok, off to the forums!

Naa, Emerald Fire would be a Vibrant color I would think, with some sparklies in it,
BRG is rather flat by comparison, dull even, as it has no metal flake at all.
I would probably like Emerald Fire (like that matters!) whereas I have little time for BRG.

Welcome to the forums bbqcrabs,

Good to have you with us and to hear you've had nine years of almost troublefree Jaguar ownership. I can see you've already found your way to the X250 forum with a coolant question so there's no need for a link to it from me.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
