I am new here. I am working on a Cobra Kit car that has a Jag rear end. I need help in finding replacement rear shocks for it. I have no idea what year or model it is from. The Kit car was built in 78 or 79, so it would have to be out of a car before that. The name and numbers on the shocks are Girling Decarbon 64052458A 3MR8. I have done muliable google searches on that number and found nothing. I ordered some KYB, KG9122 shocks that I thought would fit, but the mounts for the springs that came with them are to big for my springs. There are two tags under the cover bolts, one has 2.85 on it which I think is the gear ratio, as that is about right for the number of turns the pinion makes to get one turn of the axle, the other has a BP.L on it, which I think it means a posi which it has. None of the parts places have dimensions of the shocks, so I can't even go by that. Any help would be appreciated
