I have this set of 6 coil springs. The box says XJS, XJseries'. They are new, never installed Eibach brand. I got then to use on my S-Type but they are lowering springs and I don't want to do that with the car. You can see the height difference between the new rear spring and the used S-Type rear spring. I will ship, but the box is heavy and I'm sure it wont be cheap. I would be happy to meet somewhere, within 50 or so miles. I am honestly not sure what to ask for them, but they are now in my way and I want them gone. Please make an offer and feel free to ask Q's.
I have a 95 XJS coupe and have been looking for a full set of springs. How much do you want, I live in Lawrenceville Georgia so I need to find out about shipping.
Is there a part number on the springs?
Thanks,
Ron Petrey
After looking a little closer I see the numbers on several of the springs, but they don't mean much to me. I was hoping for a Jaguar part number equivalent. I am still interested in purchasing them let me know what you want for them and how much the shipping cost will be.
The number on the fronts is 6/89 45,01.001 VA. The number on the rears is 1/92 45,01.002. They are a bit hard to read. I doubt a Jaguar part number would be of much use since they are Lowering Springs. You could probably either search the numbers online or look up Eibachs and see what they say. Didn't the late Xjs have a different rear end? Anyway, the box weighs 40 pounds, so we can check shippers for best way, I'll say $200 for the set plus shipping. Again, please make an offer.
The only thing I know that is different on the rear suspension on my 95 is the brakes are outboard vented. It uses the same rear rotors and my wife's 99XJ8L. There are four coil over shocks in the rear. I will try to contact Eibach to see what they say.
I am still trying to research the part numbers. Eibach still has not answered my questions. It is a major undertaking to replace the front springs and I don't want to put something in there that would be way too stiff or to tall. The rear I think will work.
