Default Making my introduction.

Hello. I've just done what I always wanted to do (but never had the spare money - or felt I was old enough yet!) And bought myself a Jag :-)

I've done the cheap, low powered teenager's cars bit, the mega-fast Subaru Impreza Turbo bit, then (when the Impreza wiped out my bank account and a baby came along) re-did the cheap, basic, reliable run-about bit...

Now I've just seen an almost immaculate 2002 X Type 3.0 V6 SE (Manual) at a local garage for a really good price - and decided to take the plunge - and trade in my old car (which had recently started getting old and unreliable, and costing too much money to keep on the road).

Just trying to get used to how refined, smooth and fast it actually is - and wondering why I didn't get one earlier (and also wondering how long it is likely to be before it starts costing me a fortune?!)...

Welcome to the forum Hibbitt,

If you do your own servicing and repairs, it won't cost a fortune and the info here will cover anything that could happen.

Follow this link X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X-Type section for help, advice and information.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK Region section by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Thanks Graham,

Not sure if I have a different view of the jaguarforums homepage, due to viewing it on my mobile phone - or from being in England, on a mainly U.S. Site? But I can't add my car details or signature - as I can't see any User I.D. on the top left of the top menu bar. All I have is two areas to click on, on the top right of the screen - that say 'Default Style' or 'Log Out'.

Any ideas?...

The view is definitely not a consequence of being in England. I'm on the other side of the Pennines and Jim is a little north of you in Glasgow.

It must be viewing on a mobile restricts what you see. This is the view on a PC:

User CP is the far left item on the black menu bar.

Is it very different on your phone view?

Graham

Thanks Graham - and Norri.

Graham - Yes, the view of the forum is totally different on a mobile phone than on a computer (I am now on my laptop - and can see much more - especially more options along the top bar...).

I can see the area you said to click on now - but initially was told it was 'User I.D.' - I can now see it's 'User CP' from the last message. This is also an option on my phone - so I should hopefully be able to load photos and a signature soon...

Regards.

Excellent - pleased you can now see all the options.

You should add $3178 to your Sig. Our US members can never believe how little we pay for Jaguars in the UK.
