Me
Current Jaguar wannabe owner.
Considering an XJ-S for my next project car. Will likely be several years down the road, but I tend to research a potential project to death before buying.
Home mechanic, although I've done just about everything with the exception of upholstery work including engine / transmission / xfer case rebuilds, body and paint, some customization. I'm in IT so very familiar with computers and technology - not so good with carbs, to be honest.
Amateur machinist and general tinkerer.
Wife and I recently moved from Cleveland OH to a very rural part of West Virginia. Currently have no place to work on a project car, but that will come in time. I drive a lot for work, and the roads here are an enthusiast's dream. Lots of curves, reasonable (if often unattainable) speed limits, laid back constables sparsely distributed.
Looking to build something interesting that handles and stops well and is a pleasure to drive. XJ-S has always been intriguing to me, and I think it might fit the bill while being somewhat affordable to obtain. The complexity as always kept me away, but now that I have a few years and a few cars under my belt, I think I'm ready to tackle a V12.

Welcome to the forum chrisser,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the XJS tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Enjoy the forums.
