I am living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I have a 1990 XJ40 Sovereign and am the second owner as I purchased it in 2002. I only drive it from the end of April to the middle of September. After that is it put away for our winter season. I have been able to maintain this vehicle myself and it is always a source of mental relaxation as I take on the normal issues with an older vehicle. This time after putting my car on the road for the summer it stopped getting fuel and would not start. I have done the circuit breaker checks for the fuel and then I replaced the Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter. I am not getting power to the fuel pump as the pump is not priming. Is there other checks that I could do to end this electrical problem that I now suspect that it is. Thanks Mike

Mike, it's good to hear how you care for your car. Many of us do the same but for different lengths of time.

Someone in the Xj40 section will be able to help you out.

Welcome from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Mike,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow Norri's link in post #3 to the XJ40 forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
