Default might get me black listed

This might get me black listed for asking, but I have been back to the site daily looking for information, I do not post alot most of the answers I have been able to find in old posts. Some have pictures that would be great to see, but I do not have the permissions yet. My question is I see many new comers to the site are given instant access to the full site by an admin, while others still wait. What is the criteria for instant access?

I am not an admin, but have only been here since Feb/March timeframe. I have seen the same thing, I think it is generally an admin that is seeing that the new member is really showing interest in future participation and so they go ahead and grant privileges. I simply took the easy way, I spent my time welcoming new members, and replying to some relevent threads regarding my interests and in very short order I had earned the same privileges. I think it is only 10 posts and three days to earn the full rights, so it wasn't painful at all.

I think you will find an admin or moderator may shed more light on the subject, but I think my solution wound up being more productive.

Default agree

I am working on it, and I am not trying to make anyone mad. Sometimes I just ask questions that others want to no one will.

desrtdad, you should have all benefits of this site now. Your post count exceeds the 10 post "trial period".

desertdad, Joyce the primary driver still has the factory Alpine system, it suits her needs well enough.

welcome aboard desertdad
sorry I've missed your intro and you've not been manually upgraded to FFA although you have it now anyway!
Please believe me, it was nothing personal. FFA is automatic after around 10 posts and 5 days or so on the site. I don't have to, but everytime I visit I always try firstly to upgrade newbies that seem ok and legit to FFA. This can be quite time consuming along with each intro ( which is why sometimes mine may be short...lol ) and of course I'm not necessarily on the board every day, although usually very frequent.
Anyhow, asking such a question will NOT get you banned / blacklisted or anything of the sort....this is a fair forum!
Hope you enjoy the site

I tend to do that--check in on the forum daily, reading and learning. I try to contribute when I can, but as I'm not a car tech, my contributions are bound to be limited.

I am enjoying myself, however.
