Default mismatched tires...

When purchasing my '03 XK8 I noticed I have two different brands of tire on the back wheels, one a Pirelli P-zero, the other an unknown brand (to me). Both tires are about 60% worn and are the same size. Can this cause any problems? Just some guidance requested.
Thanks,
Bart

Your question would get the proper exposure if it were posted under the right forum. This is for introductions to the forum.

Default sorry...

... this is one of my first times joining any forum. I am trying, but it is a bit confusing.
Thanks for the tip, though - I'll keep poking around.

Bart,
Not a problem. I will move it over to the XK8 section for you.

welcome to the forum flydutch, hope we can help
Different tyre brands shouldn't cause a problem! You may notice different noise levels / different wear rates and or possibly handling differences in extreme situations, but under normal conditions everything should be fine. I'd recommend changing them as a pair when necessary though

There's usually plenty going on in most sections, most of the time.

You might find the off topic good for fun, maybe check out the mug shot thread and add yours?
Don't forget the regional section and also the detailing section is a must.

Some good guys and great techs, top vendors and more to come....all good

In the meantime I've upgraded you manually to full forum access so you can better veiw the site
