Default MojotronGT's BOSSJAG

Hello! Seems time to introduce myself after years and years of silent membership.. I've had a 1993 XJS 4.0 Coupe (auto..) in Flamenco Red for almost 4 years now; after months of hunting and dreaming I acquired it in New Jersey with 73k miles on it and lots of dried out rubber bits but a clean body. After a full front bushing replacement and a few engine parts, I've been driving it regularly every Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Last year I made the non-purist decision to fit larger wheels and lower profile tires on it, after a tremendous amount of hunting I chose a set of 17x9" BMW 5 series sport/touring "Style 32" wheels and continental tires.

Shortly after, the head gasket gave up and I'm covering the successful replacement process in a separate thread.

It's great to be here, I love the XJS (92 &93 facelift in particular) and am tremendously happy that they're as underrated as they are!

Congratulations on a Successful repair! Beautiful car, and it's RED!
I like your wheels too (purism is greatly overrated).

Yours is the only model XJS I would consider owning. I can say that because my chances of owning Any XJS are about as remote as Neptune.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum MojotronGT,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Is that a hammock I can see on the left of the repair photo? Sleeping next to the car - that's dedication!

I can see you've already found your way to the XJS forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Midwest Region forum by following this link US Midwest - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Welcome.

Graham has sprung ya, BUT, "thinking time" is very important when working on the Jag.

Default Thanks All

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone! Unfortunately I do not sleep next to the car, the hammock is there for storage. I'm still working toward that dream of living in a warehouse surrounded by my projects..
