Hi guys and girls

Have located a CM but is for an 8cyl. Is it compatible with my 6cyl?

I'm here for one reason only to start
My CM just blew and I need to replace it
I own a 2001 S-series 6cyl 3.0L
It has now been off the road for 6 months
Tres isolating espc considering where I live

My car

From one S-type owner to another... Welcome. The S-type forum is populated with a very friendly group and contains a wealth of knowledge.

Welcome to the forums Gavin,

I got diverted Googling HALLS GAP. Certainly looks a spectacularly beautiful place but not one where you want car trouble!

You appeared to be having a few problems finding your way around our forums but looks like you've found the S-Type forum now. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Australia - Victoria / Tasmania Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...a-tasmania-94/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums and good luck sourcing and fitting a BCM.

Graham

Cheers S-Type

It's a little confusing here but I'm getting up to speed.

Found a CM for an 8cyl, but no idea if is compatible with my 6cyl.
Where is the best place to ask about that?

Welcome to the Forums.

Gavin, I suggest JagDaim in Ringwood. Been years for me, but Bill, Doug, Brian, all old school Jag people.

40+ years since I went through Halls Gap, and the Seppelts Winery, different now I bet.

Good luck.

Have done all you suggested.

Halls Gap is wounderful. I could bore your socks off with pics. For a town of under a thousand we do pretty well .. our own botanical gardens, zoo, golf course and loads more.
