Default My First Jaguar... 05' STR

Hello all

Just picked up an 05' Jaguar STR in Seafrost. Now it might not be the most desirable color but I payed a whole $1.00 for it and I will tell you how I did that...

The car hadn't been driven in months because they couldn't get it in gear and needed it gone for the new F-Pace SVR arrival. The deal was, get it out of the driveway and I can buy it for $1.00. So a quick google told me the two bolts that hold the shift cable are the likely culprit. Jacked it up, tightened the bolts, and it worked. They are family friends so I told them not worry about it but "a deal is a deal" and I now own a 2005 Seafrost S Type R with 75,000 miles, Navigation, and Bluetooth. It even came with all of the original documents and every maintenance record! The only two faults on the body are a chip in the center of the rear bumper and scrapes under the front bumper from probably going up a steep driveway. The engine feels strong and passed SMOG but I think there is a slight vacuum leak somewhere under the hood that I have to investigate.

First impression was that it is very quick and like it enough that I will now be selling my 2014 335i MSport to keep the STR! Excited to get into the Jaguar community and will be reading up as much as I can on these cars.

Congratulations on your new Jaguar, And, a deal well made!
75000 miles is just now well broken in and loosened up! You should be able to get many Thousands of miles from that engine.
