Default My first new-ish car in 26 years is a Jag.

For some 26 years I drove a 1989 Honda Prelude. Finally sold it (with less than 43,000 miles on it!) after I procured a 2007 Jaguar X-Type, fully optioned, in Chili Red Metallic, ivory interior, with just 63,00 miles. It took me almost six months to find this one. (I missed out on a few good prospects only because they were so far from me.) This one's very nice, though I find the 18" Aruba wheels too hard riding for my tastes. I'll probably downsize to 17" wheels.

I live in Washington and don't drive much (as you've already guessed), which is fortunate because I know my gas bill will be higher than with the old Honda. The car is just 8" longer than the old Prelude but it just feels so much bigger (it certainly is inside). Still getting used to close quarters maneuvering as I don't have a feel for where all the edges are yet, and the rear "proximity" warning starts beeping when I'm many feet away. (Maybe I'll add a camera to work with my Garmin.) Anyway, wish me good fortune with my new-ish ride.

Hello, Raymond,
Congratulations on your 'new' Jaguar!
No more than you drive this car should last you at least 26 years!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Raymond,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Mid Atlantic Region forum by following this link US Mid Atlantic - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Raymond,

The usual reason for a SigPic not appearing is exceeding the file size limit.

The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 9.8 KB (whichever is smaller).
