Hello, I am a new member, but have owned an XF since they first came out in 2008. Mine is a Supercharged with 77K on it now, and the driveline has been trouble-free, even though the car has had lots of little problems. Rotary shifter, overhead console, fuel pump have all been replaced under warranty, and the RH front spindle/bearing crapped out at 70K. I have also replaced 2 sets of tires and reworked or replaced 5 wheels at various points due to road damage/curbs and/or unavoidable circumstances. The glovebox interior remains untouched by me, as the electronic sensor needs my wife's caress to open it and refuses to yield to my blandishments in any way, shape or form. But none of this matters - this is still the prettiest vehicle I've ever owned, and it communicates with me in a way that is both direct and intuitive. It's punch is prodigious, its behavior on the interstate is sublime, and it feels as though I'm riding a cruise missle through the enemy defenses on the way to downtown Baghdad. This thing is awesome!

About me - I'm from the Kansas City area, and I sell used auto parts for a living. Not trying to advertise here; it's just what I do. If anyone needs anything hard to find, I can usually help. I'm still learning about Jaguars, but if you have to be addicted to something, this is probably better than guns, drugs or rock 'n roll. Anyway, cheers, y'all!

 

I Luv your description of driving your car! If one wants to drive a calm boring car, they should get a Civic or something.

Used parts will be in demand as long as there are used cars on the road, I'm thinking.
