New 1995 X300 Owner
Hey guys!
I have inherited the project 1995 Jaguar XJ6 X300 4.0L from my dad (cafeflyer on this forum), and have been helping along the way from when it was first given to us a year and a half ago to getting it running and road worthy; needless to say each family member has a fair share of blood, sweat, and tears getting this vehicle in a smooth working order. Now I have been tossed the keys, and will be continuing to fix and perfect the car for when I leave for college in Detroit, MI. I look forward to documenting and sharing my progress on this forum which has been incredibly helpful in the past.
Cheers,
W

Welcome to the forums WaldenFix,
Good to have you with us.
No doubt you will already be familiar with the X300 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your college region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.

Welcome W, young padwan learner! I (we) heard of your father passing along the XJ6 to you. A wonderful gesture, warmed my heart. I required my son to BUY my XJ6 from me! Lol. Not for much but he kept up the deal. He didn't quite make it to Jedi mechanic status, but did love the car and gave it attention when needed. I liked being able to drive it occasionally. Of course I was always available for support. You can share that with your father too. See you in the X300!
Thanks Richard, I appreciate it
Really is the biggest treat to cruise down the road with my dad and wrench on these similar but special vehicles.
Will do my best to contribute and keep the forum up to date on the adventures (or misadventures) the car brings.
