I'm a first-time Jag owner, having just sold my "Frankenmazda", which was a 1994 RX-7, into which I swapped an LS1 from a 2004 GTO. That project took a couple of years to complete, so this time I looked for something interesting, but less "radical".
My 2001 XK8 has 78K miles, and is Roman Bronze/Cashmere…it's my understanding that that color was available in that year only. I've already benefited from this forum's tip on taking the slack out of the throttle cable (best two minute fix I've ever come across in the auto world).
Right now, the drivetrain is strong and making no unusual noises, so I think I may replace the front leather and a few other cosmetics.
Welcome. I know somebody on the Tarrant county side who probably can fix that leather right up. He just dropped off Corvette door panel and a Supra dash to me this afternoon. You might think it needs replaced but its amazing what can be done. Send me a PM if you want his contact info.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
