New 2003 Jaguar S-Tyoe R owner 109k
Hello Everyone,
I want to start of saying thank you for all of the helpful information I have found since last week Wednesday. I can't believe it has taken me this long to join lol. I am ready to start talking about the issues I'm running into and have identified on my "new" car it has been 1 week with "Nikki" (109k miles) 2003 S-Type R in Black. My other lady is "Roxanne" (9k miles) 2013 Ducati Monster 1100EVO in Red with a White stripe.
This is my second Jaguar S-type. But my First S-type R.
My transmission is slipping between 1-2 only. When I come to a stop I feel a thud kind of a feel at almost complete stop. This is intermittent and not every time. on 2.27.2014 I had the transmission pan replaced and fluid changed. I was told to drive the car as if an egg were underneath the pedal and take it easy. I have driven 15 miles since service. I was told best case scenario the problem might correct itself with adaptive learning from car. So I have been doing this. I asked if (Paul) at Jaguar Sport International in Houston Texas, if he re-flashed my tcm or ecm and he told me no that is not necessary and if the transmission continues to slip and come to a "lurching" stop I will need to rebuild or replace transmission. This is the first of 5 issues. I want to address.
FYI - Paul is a great pleasure to work with. I hope to get my girl running at 100% soon.
Issues:
1. Transmission slip 1-2 and lurching stop (intermittently)
2. Brake light (apply parking brake) while driving around town.
3. (Cats Failure)
4. Navigation unit shows 50,51 code error and blank screen (I can access the diagnostics menu- Holding down Nav,Menu and temp up button at the same time and it all checks out) still not working
5. "Only" when I put my left blinker on both of my taillights flash.
Thanks everyone for taking your time to get to know me and my girls! -Anthony

Welcome to the forum Anthony and Nikki,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
The transmission is potentially the most expensive of the faults you've listed. I hope it doesn't need replacement.
It sound like you probably laready know your way to the tech section but if not, follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information.
