New 400 in North Florida
Long time Range Rover/Defender owner just made the leap to a Jag. My wife has been lusting over the F Type for years... every Range Rover service spawned a "we need a jag" conversation. Welp... she finally got one. Found a new 2018 400 RWD at our dealer that was transferred from a Fields dealer up north. 500 miles on the clock but sold as new (priced as used) with extended warranty out to 100k - perfect fit for a weekend car.
I always thought I'd get a V8 when we finally pulled the rigger but you know that little V6 is a blast, sounds crazy, and isn't over the edge crazy so my wife can feel confident at the track. Plus the 400 is pretty cool and seemingly unique, I didn't even know they existed. That said.. calling VAP this week to try and get rid of that terrible flat spot above 6 and give some life to the upper RPM bands.
Looking forward to learning more and getting this thing dialed in.

Change your engine oil soon. 2018 car, that was manufactured sometime in 2017 is now have at least 2 year old engine oil in it. I recommend getting it changed ASAP.
If you (or our spouse) going to track the car, make sure you upgrade tires to Michelin Pilot 4S. OEM P-zero passenger tires are inadequate for the track.
As to tuning - make sure you understand downsides of tuning. VAP tune will void your engine warranty. Also why are you pushing 500 miles car to 6000 rpm? You shouldn't do that per break-in procedures.
VAP will sell you tune and pulley. This will make your car notably faster. Pulley will also increase supercharger RPMs and will make high-RPM drop off more noticeable. Personally, I think you are exaggerating about "drop off" or maybe experiencing break-in electronic nannies holding you back. I recommend driving the car more before deciding to tune.
