Default New boy on the block

Hello to one and allI have just aquired my first Jag, an X Type 2 litre estate and am just about to replace /repair the washer bottle sensor/switch. At least it must be one of the cheapest items to replace. Makes a change from working on my wife's 2CV.

Hi Rich,
Welcome to JaguarForum - and the most friendly crowd of Jaguar fans you will find anywhere. I see you have already added your details to your signature here - don't forget you can also fit a pic there of your car if you want..
In case you have yet to find them heres a couple of areas that will be most relevant to you at JaguarForums:

X-Type Support - X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
UK Region - UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Any problems with your car it is always worth taking a look in the X-Type section, and possibly popping a post up - someone is almost always going to come back with a shortcut or something to make the job easier.

As for the UK section - it lists suppliers that are recommended by the members theirselves, meetings (which are a great opportunity to clean and polish your car, meet members and put names to faces and cars), and general threads that are UK specific. In your area there is a bi-annual meeting coming up in the next few months with Harwoods Jaguar attending with a showroom car, and hopefully an auto box specialist repairer to answer any questions members may have. So please have a look around, and feel free to sign up to anything of interest..

Default Welcome to Jaguar Forums

Welcome Rich . . . and greetings from a Jaguar enthusiast from way down under. Others will be along shortly to offer great tips and links relevant to your location - though I note you have already added your model/year/engine/variant to your signature to ensure all advice you are offered is relevant and accurate.

I suggest you jump over to our X-Type section which is rich in resources that will help you maintain your beastie. Downloads available there include workshop manuals, wiring diagrams and plenty more.
We pride our Jaguar Forums on being a friendly experience, so best wishes ... and enjoy,
Ken

Welcome to the forum Rich,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow Norri's link in post #5 to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
