Default New boy/man

Hello every one,
I have come across this website while looking for information on my car.

I was forty last year and for a treat I bought a 2004 x type 2.0d SE estate.

I have always had bangers in the past and made sure wife had good car but always wanted a Jaguar even though I had never driven one before (I just love the name and the look which I think is unique unlike other car makers).

I choose the x type because I like estates with my hobby fishing and camping.

I bought her in March last year and after a few months had a rumble coming from her and thought it was front wheel bearings so I got some and started to try to replace myself but soon found out that was beyond my skills so took to garage to do and it sorted the rumble out.

Recently had a similar sound so today have changed the rear bearings which wasn't easy but is possible in my mind for the average diy er.

I have listed a problem about tyres as mine has 18" ones fitted and I feel it shows too many bumps etc on road and member Thermo has given me an idea to try.

Anyway that's my history so far and look forward to reading and asking questions on here.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Pete

Welcome to the forum Pete,

I see you've already found your way to the X-Type section ( X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum ) and have received good advice from Chris. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of that section is a good place to start looking for information on other regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the UK Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/ to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the X-Type and the forum.

Graham
