Wink New and Excited Owner

I am new to Jaguar Forums, excited about my recent purchase and ready to have some fun with any members in the Chicago area!

I have a 2003 S-Type 3.0 and I love it . I have already put my sound system in and I am getting ready to add rims. I purchased Helo 20's which should arrive today. I got them without tires because I am unsure which ones will fit. The dealer told me that 245/30/20 is the recommended size but the wheel shop says they wont fit. I refuse to alter the vehicle out side of lifting it a little. The guy actually wanted to shave the wheel wells down!!!!! Who does that?????

Does anyone know the correct or better size tire and has anyone lifted their vehicle for extra room? I have noticed that this car adjusts to extra weight; when I put all my music in the trunk it didnt budge an inch and my box is really heavy!! I dont want to do any damage to my car so any advice would help.

welcome ladydai, afraid you're only going to get some greetings in this area of the forum. For those s=type specific queries, I'd start a new thread over there and talk wheel.n.tire sizes. Keep in mind, we've got alot of 'purist' jaguar owners, i've seen blingy wheel threads meet with some disgruntled viewers and reduced support as a result.

Enjoy your stay!

Welcome to the forum LadyDai,

As H20boy says the S forum is the place for your wheel questions, but I see you have found your way there already.
