Default new. first jag rebuild 1997 xj6l

Hey everyone, new to the forum and to working on jaguars. I am venturing to put a new engine in my xj6l in the next month or so because the current one got rust in in it due to a faulty gas cap and water drain. Sucks i know!!! Replacing fuel lines and injectors as well, any suggestions about problems you may have had doing the same would help!!

Welcome.

It would be real handy if we knew what year etc the XJ6L is.

The USA had some badging very different to the rest of the world. Mainly coz they could not use the Daimler name.

Please add that to your "Sig" then everyone knows what car is being tinkered with.

Welcome to the forum ianf3,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X300 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link US Lower Atlantic - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
