I am a new member to the forum. I have purchased an XJS 1992 but it has not been delivered yet - coming across the country. Of course, I am nervous about the car, having purchased it at a distance, but at the same time excited. Once it is here and I have seen it I will post again.

Yes, the passion is universal, and it's great to have you join us. Your Canadian Regional Co-ordinator will be along, but let me offer a few suggestions to help get you started...

• from the forum home page scan down to, then jump into the model specific forum that matches your new beastie ... plenty of resources to download, and heaps of reading material too;

• learn how to use the Search Tools to research any technical issue;

• at top left end of the forum home page, open User CP, then click on Edit Signature to add your growler's Year, Model, Engine Variant etc; thus ensuring any technical advice you receive is accurate;

• similarly, you can use Edit Avatar to append a pic or logo to your User Name in all posts.

Follow Norri's link in post #7 to the XJS forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
