Hello everyone

I came here to get some advice. I'm close to pulling the trigger on a 17 R convertible. It is at a Jaguar dealer. It has 36,000 miles and since I need to transport it home 1000+miles) they said they would cover the cost. They are asking $64K for it. My questions are, does this seem like a fair price given the current market? What kind of issues should I look for if we decide to buy (we would fly to look at it and make the deal) Factory warranty is until September 2022, but since it is "certified" they are extending it until September 2023.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums magnummrk,

The Jaguar Approved check is comprehensive and only the best used examples are marketed under this scheme. Here's the checklist:

There is little more you could or would need to check beyond this. However, it is essential to get the check document and warranty signed by the dealer to avoid any future misunderstanding over acceptable condition or what is covered. Dealers are usually willing to add accessories within an agreed price so worth checking the brochure to see if there's anything not already on the vehicle that you would like.

You are unlikely to see this distant dealer again and need to consider where the vehicle will be serviced to comply with warranty requirements. I see you have a couple of choices in Madison.

I'll leave it to US members to comment of the asking price as this is always considerably more than we would pay here in the UK.
