New guy, sold my E-Type, considering an XK8
Hi! New guy here but not really new to Jaguars. I live in S. Ontario, Canada and have owned several Jaguars including a Mk11, a '62 XK150, an '87 Sovereign and for the past few decades, a '62 E-Type Coupe which I dragged out of a barn in England and later restored myself.
After 20 years of enjoying the E-Type as a summer car and due to it becoming harder for me to get in and out of lately, I decided to sell it and maybe get myself something like an XK8, probably an older version. Although I belong to some other Jaguar forums, I've joined the Jaguar Enthusiasts in order to learn about XK8s because it seems the most active forum for the model.
I did all the work on the E myself but I'm hoping to do less of that now and just really want to replace it with a fast comfortable car for occasional use, and preferably, another Jaguar.
The day after I dragged it out of the barn
This is how far I stripped the E-Type
More recently, after I'd restored it
with my wife at the Canadian Warplane Heritage, Hamilton.

Thanks guys. Actually, I had already sold the E-Type last fall. To tell the truth, it was really more fun to own when I first bought it back in the 70s, using it as an everyday hack, plus it was worth nothing and I didn't need to worry about where I parked it and whatnot.
Anyway, after 40 years of ownership, I don't really miss it any more. I certainly won't be doing another restoration like that one. It is a RHD UK version and it's gone back to England where it really belongs.
Here's another rather nice photo, this one was taken in England by the dealer who I sold it to. Thanks again for the welcome.

Welcome to the forum 38E,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I had an E-Type Coupe in my twenties. Had to sell it when family came along and went to buy another in my forties. Amazing how much smaller they'd got over the years!
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Enjoy the forums and the search for your next Jaguar.
