New to here...1988 XJ40
Hey everyone,
I'm Will from Guilford, CT and I just bought a 1988 XJ40 Vanden Plas! It is in pretty good condition, but I am going to be doing some work to it and maybe a few tasteful mods (give me some recommendations for what I should do!). Right now, the trip computer and the square screen to the right of the instrument cluster does not work, the door handle on the rear drivers door is snapped (of course), and the central locking is not cooperating on the rear doors. Also, the washer fluid leaks from the front right corner, but I don't know what is broken: a hose or the reservoir itself. FINALLY, the exhaust sounds a little loud and once in a while, a super loud "farting" noise is made, but goes away quickly. Anyway, it's super cool, clean, and comfortable! I'm looking forward to this online community and your help!

Twin headlights were European specification for the base models. US specification came as standard with the rectangular ones. I always preferred the twins which I had on my XJ40. Lattice wheels - you could get injured in the stampede on the rare occasions a set come up for sale!
