Default NEW HERE ....

I'm here because i am looking for a nice weekend convertible for fun driving and recently came across jaguar XKR's; wow, very nice.... I've always loved the look of the XJS.
Most recently I had a 2005 subaru sti, bought it new 10 miles on it, I raced it; off road mostly and parking lot and occasionally on track. Now I'm just looking for something classic for me and my wife to enjoy for car meets and country drives, weekends etc....
My wife and i are in our 60's but still ride motorcycles; she has a harley fat pdq soft something or other, i have a triumph tiger. We have considered a TR6. I've always loved the looks, older MG's are very cool too.
I'm 6' 2" so MG's are a little small for me, TR6 is tight but ok.
I have come across a 1990 xjs convertible, which i think one of the best looking cars ever made. Mileage is low. At the same time found a XKR's prices run all over, we are selling an extra house and an extra car [2018 ford taurus]
We have considered selling the motorcycles to get a convertible, or keeping them and getting a convertible.
I am currently doing research. I loved, STI but they don't make a convertible and it was sick how fast and fun it was to drive.
We are in the nashville area, looking for car clubs and meets in our area.
