New on Here - My First Jag !
Well last night i took the plunge and bought my first ever Jaguar, a 1984 XJ6 4.2 auto.
It's not a basket case but its not a minter either, probably typical of the type of car you'd expect for a few grand.
Anyway, after a lengthy test drive follwed by a cup of tea, the deal was done, a fist full of hard earned was swapped for some paper and a couple of keys and im off on my merry way to find the nearest petrol station !
Filled the tanks before feeding and watering me and my mate to then drive home 120 miles or so without any issue whatsoever
To say im pleased would be an understatement. Frightened or daunted would also be words that could be used to better explain my feelings at the moment.
Anyway, without further a do, here are a couple of pics.
Hopefully nothing too major will go wrong and i'll find that this is a good forum and get to know some like minded people who, unlike most of my mates, dont think im a fruitloop for buying a 31 year old Jag !
