New Here and would appreciate some help with dealer
Hello all. Newly joined but I have been obsessively reading through threads in the f-type forum.
I love the car, as does my dad. So I decided to buy one for him.
It took a month of needlessly painful back and forth with me constantly having to chase the Salesman at Jaguar Bellevue Washington, but the car was delivered to my father yesterday 8/6/2020.
I wont go through all the myriad of ways this has been an immensely disappointing experience, but will focus on the most critical remaining issue.
The car was delivered without tags (I asked the salesman to confirm that hard tags were on the car multiple times including the day before it was picked up), and there is no registration.
My dad was very surprised, and thinks the car is beautiful, but can't park the car on the street much less drive it legally.
I spoke with a rep at Jaguar USA who called the local Jag dealer local to my father in New Orleans, who was willing to get some paper tags for my father except that can't be done with no registration.
I've spoken with and now left messages for the Sales Manager at Jaguar Bellevue, I've left text messages for the salesman who sold the car (who has never been particularly responsive) but have not gotten any appreciable information about where the tags are, when they will be delivered, much less why they were not on the car in the first place.
If any of you have an 'in' at Jaguar Bellevue, or Jaguar USA who can encourage more engagement from the folks there I would much appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
Jamal
Potential complicating factors:
The car is partially financed
I live in Conneticut.
The car was supposed to be registered and have CT tags
My father and the car are in New Orleans.

The saga continues...
I spoke with a sales manager at Jaguar Bellevue (Dario) Monday (8.10) because the sales manager (Adam) and the salesman who sold me the car (Robb) were both out of the office.
Dario assured me that the tags were mailed Friday and my father would have them by Tuesday. Given my prior experiences with this dealership I requested the tracking number.
Dario said he would give a call Tuesday morning with the tracking number. He almost predictably, did not call. A rep (Natalie) from the dealership called and seemed to be trying to pull together all of the pieces
and see what she could do to get things on track. She indicated that the documents in support of the tags, title and registration were with a 3rd party who handles such for out of state purchases.
I gave them (3rd party) a call, and they stated they had only received the documents on Monday (8.10). So Dario was lying to me (when he said the tags were already in the mail), and presented me with a falsehood that I passed along to my father who has still not been able to legally drive his gift. The fact that the 3rd party only received the tags on Monday also suggests that the documents were sitting at Jaguar Bellevue from 7.27 when they were signed for a 9:41 am according to FedEx to 8.7 when I assumed they were mailed. They sat without being acted on for 2 weeks while I was trying to confirm that the car would have tags on it when it arrived, and then after I raised the alarm about the fact that the car arrived with no tags and no registration. A possible impound (due to the lack of tags), and then no way to prove ownership (due to the lack of registration). The car should have never shipped in that condition (especially with me repeatedly inquiring about the presence of tags), but for the problem to be ignored and then lied about makes it even worse.
I spoke with the GM (Dmitri) and he has been helpful (and I appreciate him giving this matter his attention) and Natalie (the rep I mentioned above) seems to genuinely understand my disappointment with the situation and desire to sort it as quickly as possible, but overall I have been less than impressed by my first Jaguar buying experience. I would be horrified having such an experience at cheap used car lot, and definitely expected better from what is perceived as a premium brand.
The hope at this point is that by next week my father will be able to drive the F-type I bought him...
I have related my experiences to date to Jaguar USA, but it has been a while since I've received any response from them on this matter. If you have any other recommended courses of action, I am all ears. Thanks.
Cheers,
Jamal
