new to jaguar and this forum
hello all my name is John and I just bought my first jag. wanted one as far back as I can remember and finally landed myself a 99 xj8. its in really good shape but does need a lil love. a whole new monster compared to my previos chevy days. cant wait to get to know some of you jag fans and hope to learn alot from you. thanks in advance to anyone willing to share knowledge. hopefully I can even help a few people myself.

Really, a Jag is like any other British car; it merely speaks with a British accent, which is sometimes a bit hard for Mercans to understand. Other than that, all cars are basically the same until you get into the rolling computers of the current years.

thank you all for the warm welcome I am looking forward to making a few new friends and sharing my enthusiasm for such a great car. I have been a car guy in the south east since I can remember. I already have a good firm handle on most things automotive. but help from peers is always a plus cant wait to dig in and get this cat up to the standard of quality it deserves. thanks again to all of you
