Just purchased 2002 Jag. XK8 convertible, white NEG with cashmere interior SDZ. 101000mls. Drives like new, only insignificant cosmetics. no rust. Must have been garaged all its life.
Antenna was broken, easy replace. Remote was missing, able to buy from e-bay. Easy to program thanks to forum. Drivers window sw. broken, mirror sw. inop. Bought used then opened and cleaned mirror contacts, easy fix, all working now. Cleaned top, then waterproofed with Starbrite. Have seat leather color coming from Steven Lewis.
Went to replace vent filter and found only a hole where filter hsg. should be.
Originally from Yorkshire, moved to US with GM in 1970. Previously worked at a Jaguar dealer for a year and owned an X-type, bought for the wife. Am 30yr Saab technician, still working on Saabs and now will be working on Jaguars having moved recently to Ocala, Florida.
