New Jaguar owner and Member - X type SE 2.1 V6 - Emerald
Hi there,
Just thought I would post to say Hi. New member here and also first time I have owned a Jaguar.
Im Jay, live in South Yorkshire and just purchased a 2002 X Type SE in the Emerald paint. It is the 2.1 V6 petrol engine, with manual gearbox.
At first, and from the adverts I thought the car was just a dark Jaguar Racing Green but once I was closer and the sun was hitting it, I was pleasantly surprised with the colour. it changes from Green to blue, both light and dark shades. Looks black when it isn't in the direct sunlight. Really nice colour.
I bought the car with a couple of issues I will search the forums and try resolving before having to ask on here.
Both the paint and the interior are in great condition. Currently only returning 21 mpg but this may be related to one of the issues so we will see.
Enjoying the nice smooth drive of the car it really does look nice. I have a feeling the Jaguar emblem on the side is facing the wrong way but some forum searching should help clear this up haha
I have taken and attached a picture below (hopefully this works).
Emerald Green is a superb shade. It's very close the the current BRG Jaguar finally settled on for my XK and the F-Types and appears different depending on the light conditions. The Jaguar emblem is definitely facing the wrong way but it's not OE Jaguar European specification for the model and is a PO's addition.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
