Believe it or not I was just given a 1997 XK8 from a relative. One owner, 80,000 miles, virtually perfect condition. I am beyond excited. I will actually drive to pick it up in August. I have no clue about Jaguars other than they are fantastic cars. This one is a convertible. I will probably have lots of questions so thanks in advance.

So I will be going to pick up my 1997 XK8 in two weeks. I will be driving it back home about 600 miles (shipping was to costly). It has been very well maintained. Is there anything I need to be concerned with driving it that far? I'm really excited about getting it but I also am not familiar with the car yet.
Sorry, moved this to the correct forum.

I see you also posted this question in XK8/XKR forum. I and others have replied there.

So here she is guys and girls! I finally got her home. Just drove her over 600 miles and she drove beautifully. I think I'm in love.

Looks great. They always look so much better when you don't have to have a front registration. Our standard European registration plate size spoils the appearance.

The smaller Aussie ones aren’t too bad...
