Unhappy new jaguar x series owner 2002 /clueless!

parking at a funeral I damaged wheel rim..cannot figure out if wheel is 17" or 18'


can I buy a replacement rim or do I require complete wheel? any help direction most appreciated

Sorry to hear about the damaged rim. The easiest way to check the rim size is from the coding on the tyre sidewall:

See the number 16 arrowed in blue. This shows the example is a 16 inch rim.

It's surprising what wheel specialists can do to repair bent or scuffed rims so don't just assume a replacement is the only solution.

I've checked the 2002 X-Type Driver's Handbook for bulb replacement and it has the following information for HID's:

Note: High Intensity Discharge (HID) Xenon light units, type D2S 35W, are not renewable, contact your Dealer if the headlight fails to operate.

I recommend you post the question in X-Type forum for advice from members with the same model. If there's a workaround, they will know.
